NEW LEADERSHIP FOR JU-JITSU ASSOCIATION OF INDIA

The Ju-Jitsu Association of India – JAI has got its new leadership with new vision and new mission where Mr. Vinay Kumar Joshi has been elected as National President, Mr. Amit Arora as Secretary General and Mr. Raziuddin Shahed as Treasurer of JAI.

The Ju-Jitsu Association of India – JAI had conducted its Election and Annual General Body Meeting – AGBM on 15th January 2023, Sunday at Conference Hall of the Global Indian International School – Delhi NCR. The election of the JAI had conducted in accordance with the constitution of the Ju-Jitsu Association of India and as per the rules and regulations directed by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India and described in the Model Election Guidelines of the National Sports Development Code of India- 2011.

The election was conducted by secret ballot in very fair and transparent manner under the close supervision and observation of the Returning Officer Hon’ble Mr. Meharman Singh Koranga, Secretary – Bar Council of Uttarakhand and Assistant Returning Officer Hon’ble Mr. Sanjay Melkani, Senior Counsel – High Court of Uttarakhand. Hon’ble Returning Officer and the Assistant Returning Officer has scrutinized the Electoral college, documents of the authorized representatives, valid nomination forms and conducted the elections with the counting of votes and declare the final result. The elections were held only on Two posts i.e. Vice-President and Treasurer, rest all post were elected unopposed. The Annual General Body Meeting – AGBM was attended by 24 affiliated member state Association of JAI where each affiliated state unit ware present with two (02) authorized representatives with the right to vote as directed by the Ministry of Sports, Govt. of India. The Elections of the JAI have been conducted for the next term of four (04) Years 2023-2027.

Mr. Joachim Thumfart, Director General – JJIF on behalf of the JJIF/ JJAU addressed the meeting via Zoom online conference along with Mr. Suresh Gopi – founder of the JAI and Commander C.M. Bhatia Ex-Interim President and gave their good wishes to the newly elected board members of the association and to all the affiliated members present in the AGBM. He assured that the JJIF/ JJAU always stand with the JAI and will work together for the betterment and the promotion of Ju-Jitsu in India.

The newly elected board members decided to conduct a National selection trials for the national team of the JAI for the upcoming 7th Asian Ju-Jitsu Championship, Bangkok, Thailand. The Executive Board also approved unanimously the allocation of National Ju-Jitsu Championship 2023 to the Madhya Pradesh Ju-Jitsu Association, which will be held from 27th to 31st of March 2023 at Dewas city. The board has decided to implement its annual calendar of training and competition for this year and will try to increase the number of medals for India in all international events with the help of its International and the Continental federation.

The new members of the executive board render its gratitude to the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India for providing their guidelines and directions to conduct the elections successfully.
