JJIF World Championship ADULTS 2024 in Heraklion
The 2024 JJIF World Championship for Adults, held from October 23rd to 28th in Heraklion, Greece, showcased the pinnacle of ju-jitsu talent from around the globe.
This prestigious event, organized by the Ju-Jitsu International Federation, brought together over 780 elite martial artists from 58 nations who competed in various categories, including Fighting, Duo, Jiu-Jitsu and Para Jiu-Jitsu (Ne-Waza).
This World Championship marked a significant milestone with the inclusion of new competition system – Contact Ju-Jitsu for the first time. This new category added a dynamic and intense dimension to the competition. The successful introduction of Contact Ju-Jitsu has established a promising precedent for future championships, suggesting that this category will become a regular feature in the JJIF World Championships.
The Championship not only highlighted the athletes’ exceptional skills and dedication but also celebrated the rich cultural heritage of Crete, providing a vibrant backdrop for this international sporting spectacle.
